Briny Breezes began in the 1960s as a beachfront cottage community and incorporated in 1963, and it still feels like a neighborhood that happens to sit on the Atlantic: residents walk to the beach, gather at the community clubhouse, and know each other by name. The town's own beach access is its main attraction, but its location is the real gift - Delray Beach's Atlantic Avenue and its restaurants, galleries, and theater are minutes south, Boynton Harbor Marina is minutes north for fishing charters, and the Intracoastal Waterway runs right behind town for boating.
